# Get started with Kai Copilot

Ask Kai about Gleap, work with your connected apps and find chats, routines, artifacts and settings.

Kai Copilot is the first area in the main navigation. It helps your team work in Gleap and connected apps. During a new workspace’s setup, the same navigation item can be called **Onboarding**.

### Start with a clear request

Open **Kai Copilot** and start a chat. Describe the result you want and the scope: “Find this week’s unanswered billing conversations and draft a short handover for the team.”

Kai can explain Gleap’s settings and link to the right page. Its available tools and your permissions determine which workspace actions it can perform.

You can also open Kai from the **Ask Kai** entry points around the app. The current page gives useful context; include the customer, period or board if the request could be ambiguous.

### Find your work

The sidebar keeps your chats together with:

-   **Setup** while workspace setup is relevant.
    
-   **Routines** for recurring and event-driven work.
    
-   **Artifacts** for the files and outputs Kai produced.
    
-   **Settings** for its behaviour, tools, sharing and limits.
    

Open a previous chat to continue work with its context.

### Review decisions

When Kai needs input or approval, it creates work in **Needs you**. Read the proposed action and its context before confirming. A question waiting for a person is not a completed task.

Connected tools have their own permissions. Check **Settings → Apps** to review connections and what Kai may do in them.

### Roadmap work

The work previously called Kai PM is part of **Kai Copilot → Settings → Roadmap & changelog**. That page controls new-request decisions, release notes, newsletters and messages to people who requested a feature.

Your request board is under **Inbox → Roadmap**. Published release notes are under **Outreach → Changelog**.

### Talk to Kai Copilot

Where calling is enabled for your project, open the **Ask Kai** panel and choose **Call** in its composer. This starts a live conversation with microphone access. Kai keeps the page and chat context, and you can type while you talk. Use the call controls to mute or end the call. Proposed actions still need the approvals shown in the chat. If Call is unavailable, check whether calling is enabled and whether the workspace has AI credit.
