Some questions end in "let's talk". A workflow can offer a booking step inside the messenger, and Kai can offer open times itself, so the customer books a slot in the conversation instead of being sent off to a link and forgetting. Only project admins can connect a calendar, and it needs the Team plan or higher.
Go to Settings โ Connectors and pick the AI tools filter.
Click Connect next to Calendly and authorise your Calendly account. For Cal.com, paste your Cal.com API key instead.
Connecting also switches on Kai books meetings: Kai can offer open times in the chat and book the meeting for your customer.
The step is called Schedule a meeting. It's available in conversation workflows and only in the messenger.
Open the workflow and add a Schedule a meeting step where a call makes sense.
Set the Booking link: the event people should book. It takes a Calendly, Cal.com or self-hosted Cal.com page that starts with https://. Calendly links need the connected Calendly account; Cal.com links don't.
Set the Button text: what the customer clicks.
Set the Introduction message: the line that explains why they'd want to.
Publish the workflow.
Both the button text and the introduction can be translated, so a multilingual messenger doesn't switch to English at the last step.
When the link belongs to your connected Calendly account and the contact has an email address, the step shows open times right in the chat. Otherwise it shows the booking page itself. Once the meeting is booked, it appears in the conversation and the workflow moves on.
Two places pay off. A sales enquiry, where booking beats a reply thread. And a support conversation that's gone several rounds without progress: offering a call at that point resolves things faster than another message.
What it isn't good for is the front of the conversation. A booking step offered before anyone has understood the question sends people to a call they didn't need, which is expensive for both sides.
Point it at an event with realistic availability. A link with nothing free for two weeks reads as "we don't want to talk to you", and it's better to not offer the step than to offer it and disappoint.
